Norbrook Farm Brewery Trails: Dirt Session

Image
Norbrook Farm Brewery Trails: Dirt Session Dirt Session. A fast, flowing trail that's full of berms, small jumps, and big smiles.   Dirt sessions is my favorite mountain bike trail at the Norbrook Farm Brewery. It's fast and flowing, and generally is a very smooth trail that you can easily cruise down at your pace. Trail Rundown As I'm sure you've already gathered, Dirt Sessions is full of smooth berms, small jumps, and, if you've got the skills to take them, drops. It's rated as a Blue Square, and is a fast, one way trail. Overall, Dirt Session was very well kept in early June when this video was filmed, with the exception of one blown out berm about half way down, which if you're not expecting it could lead to a bad time. At my skill level, which is still fairly new, I was able to carry some good speed down the hill, and hit the first of two drops on the trail, which is a rock drop. With some speed, this drop is easy to handle. Th

Norbrook Farm Brewery Trails: Creekside

Norbrook Farm Brewery Trails: Creekside Creekside was the first mountain bike trail that I really loved at the Norbrook Farm Brewery. It's smooth with a few nice berms, isn't steep or intimidating, and will be fun for any skill level. Trail Rundown Creekside is a relatively flat, green circle trail at the Norbrook Farm Brewery. This is the first trail that I really enjoyed here, and wanted to do over and over. As a beginner on a bike, I saw this trail as a place to progress, and build speed. It's relatively flat nature with mild downhill means makes it quite enjoyable for riders of every skill level. It's smooth and flowing, and is all in all a good time. This is a two way trail, so look out for people climbing back up as you descend! Also note that at the end of this video we are no longer on creekside, and are on our way to Old Oak and Northern Access. Norbrook Farm Brewery Trails: Old Oak Lower

Image
Norbrook Farm Brewery Trails: Old Oak Lower Old Oak Lower. Sort of steep, with a fun rock drop. Trail Rundown Old Oak Lower is a fairly short, black diamond mountain bike trail at the Norbrook Farm Brewery. I first hit Old Oak Lower on my 20 year old, Giant Hard tail bike my first time at Norbrook, since the trail isn't too well marked if you come off of Creekside. That should tell you that the trail isn't impossible, but it certainly has some steeper parts with a few large rocks that can get in the way. It's a nice, quick run though, with a rock drop midway down. Getting onto the rock is a blast, it's steep and feels very natural. Going off the other side, you need to be prepared to slow down and turn, otherwise you'll end up going head first into a tree. I opted to go around the tree and ended up just off the trail, before descending down to the bottom. Join The Adventure For more mountain biking adventure, be sure to subscribe to the Gold
